Most things were fine, but our entire experience was spoiled by the receptionist name- Fevrien.(Date:3 August, 8:00am)
We were already charged separately for the room, separately for parking, and also paid an additional $100 cash bond.
Another disappointing part was that we had been told that reception would open at 7:30 AM, so we arrived around 7:35 AM because we still had an 8-hour drive ahead of us. However, the receptionist arrived around 8:00 AM or slightly after, which meant we had to wait for quite a while. The worst part was that she did not even apologise for being late.
After arriving, instead of speaking politely, she immediately started inspecting the room and then claimed there was an issue with the kettle and refused to return our $100 bond. We explained several times that the kettle appeared to be already burnt/damaged before our use, but she kept saying that she would not return the $100. The way she spoke to us was very rude and disrespectful, and her behaviour was completely unprofessional.
When we asked her to let us speak to the manager because we believed the charge was unfair, she first said “I am the manager".We reminded her that the person who checked us in was someone else, and then she changed her statement and said that the manager was not available. This made the whole situation even more confusing and frustrating. The way she handled the conversation and spoke to us was extremely inappropriate. I would strongly suggest that the actual management speak with this receptionist about her behaviour toward guests.
Instead of listening to us calmly, she spoke in a harsh manner and made the whole situation stressful. Because of this receptionist, the end of our holiday was ruined and our mood was completely spoiled.
Our entire trip had been amazing until that moment. We enjoyed every place we visited and had a really good holiday. However, on the morning we were leaving, we still had an 8-hour drive ahead of us, and the way we were treated completely ruined our mood. After such a wonderful trip, we expected to leave with good memories, but this checkout experience made the end of our journey extremely stressful and disappointing.
My honest advice to anyone staying here is to take photos and videos of the entire room and all items as soon as you enter, because we made the mistake of not taking photos first.
Very, very, very bad experience with Fevrien, and I would not recommend this place because of the way we were treated at checkout.

I found blood on the towel that was provided in my room, so I requested a replacement towel. However, instead of bringing one to my room, I was asked to come to the reception to collect it. This was very inconvenient and made me feel that my concern was not taken seriously and that I was not treated with proper respect.

Stayed two night here with my children and wife. Comfortable rooms, just wish more TV programs worked.

Had an error in our booking upon arrival relating to bed layout but Ashlynn (hope I spelt that correctly, apologies if not!!!) went above and beyond to help fix the issue. Top class service from the team!

Family friendly place to stay in a great location if you intend to go up the mountain!

Booked a powered site for campervan. Plenty of parking spaces were available since the lots were empty, and you can leave your van there for 24h for each booking fee. Comes with access to toilets (no shower) and resting seats with heater at the reception but will be close after 11pm. Surrounding area have good food options. It is a conducive and decent place for a quick or last min stop-over.

Its a budget hotel and budget is what you got. The place is dated. Spiderwebs everywhere in our room. Specs of mould round by the windows. Paint peeling in the bathroom. Big TV. We had the triple room, I liked that it had 3 single beds whereas europe usually adds a cot bed as the 3rd Each bed had an electric blanket which would have been nice but only one of them worked. We didnt inform reception about this as it was late and we just wanted to sleep.
Breakfast wasnt great at all. Really minimal but had enough food to start your day.

I didnt think the location was bad, its cheaper because it's not in the town and I was fine with that. I knew it wasnt in the town when I booked it but easy Number4 bus to and from the town which takes around 15/20 mins and only $2.50 (every bus journey in Queenstown is $2.50, just get a Bee card and top it up)

Thanks to Ashlyn who was so lovely and had really good customer service. There was another female recepriont we met whose name i didn't get but she was also lovely.

Overall, for 1 or 2 nights, it was fine.
