Beautiful welcome drink and cake plate in room to celebrate a milestone birthday! Thank you.
We had a few hiccups with our stay of 6 nights however the staff took action to rectify these which was much appreciated. They welcomed our feedback which was refreshing. The location is great, if you have a car I’d recommend paying for parking as it’s very limited in Queenstown. The rooms are large and well appointed, some views are a lot better than others. Over the road from ski bus - so super convenient if you’re off to the snow. 2 mins to restaurants, shopping, gondola etc.
Minor point - for a 5 star Hotel the entry and foyer could do with a decorative refresh IMO, not particularly lux compared to new hotels in Qtown that we looked at.

We recently stayed at the Sofitel Queenstown and had a wonderful experience overall.
Our room was lovely and spacious, comfortably accommodating my wife, our one-year-old son, and myself. The bathroom was particularly impressive, with plenty of space and a luxurious feel.
What really stood out was the staff. They were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. They went out of their way to interact with our one-year-old, who was determined to point at and share everything with everyone he met. Those small interactions made us feel genuinely welcome as a family.
The buffet breakfast was another highlight. There was a good menu available, complemented by a solid selection of buffet options that catered well to different tastes and provided a great start to each day.
The only area that let the hotel down was the gym. While it had a suitable rack of dumbbells, the adjustable bench felt quite unsafe and in need of replacement, and the cable machine was out of order during our stay. With a little more attention and some equipment upgrades, the gym could be a fantastic facility and better match the otherwise high standard of the hotel.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Sofitel Queenstown, particularly for families looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in a fantastic location.

Our stay at Sofitel in Queenstown was nothing short of amazing. The location is perfect. The rooms were excellent , staff and consierge , housekeeping, waiters and bartenders , all were above exceptional. Would reccommend to everyone wanting a classy hotel experience for a good price.

Thank you to the team at Sofitel Queenstown for an incredible stay! We have stayed at many Sofitel hotels around the world, and this is easily one of the best. From the moment we checked in, every staff member was so welcoming—even our kids mentioned how nice everyone was.
The food and drinks during the evening canapés hour were a massive highlight, as was the fantastic breakfast and bar service. We wish we have chances to try the Le petite dinner.
The So Spa was another must add on if you stay here.

The hotel is directly opposite the ski shuttle bus stop, which made it incredibly convenient for my son, who went skiing every day during our stay.
The location is perfect, right on the main street of Queenstown, so it was easy to walk to restaurants, cafés, and shops. The valet parking service was also excellent and made everything even more convenient.
The staff were friendly and professional, and we really enjoyed our stay. I have already recommended this hotel to all of my friends and would happily stay here again.
