Driftaway Queenstown Holiday Park

Went here for the spa. OMG! It was beautiful. The service I received was very helpful and informative before being escorted to the private spa area. For the price you would usually pay elsewhere, this was much more affordable and enjoyable! With such a stunning view 😍 you also have your own toilet area and Bluetooth speaker to connect your phone for some sounds. Was super relaxing, the water was wonderful despite not having jets or bubbles! Happy with my time here and would go again when next in Queenstown!

Stayed for 5 nights in a self contained family cabin. The location and value for money really can’t be beat - close to the airport, supermarkets and within walking distance of some great restaurants and cafes (boat shed was a favourite any time of day) a little bit out of the hustle and bustle of Queenstown but with gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Highly recommend booking the hot tubs - great way to relax at the end of the day. Service from staff was wonderful too - we checked in after hours and really appreciated the heaters in our cabin being turned on for our arrival. The self contained units are comfortable and have everything you need, showers were always hot, but the reason I have given it 3 stars is because things are starting to look a bit tired and the website is still saying “newest park in NZ” - the couch had water marks on it and the blinds next to the front door were damaged. Easy things to fix.

We are a couple traveling through with a campervan. We ended up staying 4 nights in total. The location is great and facilitates they have are next level. The communal areas are clean, functional and spacious. A fully decked out kitchen with shared fridges, cook tops, ovens and dining areas are a huge draw card for us. Modern bathrooms, laundry and all heated which is wonderful on a cold morning and evening to spend time cooking and dishes. Showering in a heated space is brilliant. Great views and a general luxurious feel to the place. Highly recommend for anyone traveling to Queenstown.

I can only speak from the perspective of motorhome campers, but this place was exceptional. It’s brand new, very well maintained, and incredibly clean, making it a comfortable spot for an overnight stay.

Do note that you’ll need to bring your own cooking utensils. That said, the kitchen itself was spotless and well kept, and the bathroom facilities were so comfortable that we ended up taking three showers in just one night! Hair-dryers were available on-site.

As motorhome campers, it’s not always easy to find a place where we can truly rest well. This was, without a doubt, one of the best stopovers we’ve experienced. Everything from the kitchen to the overall facilities felt new, thoughtfully maintained, and absolutely worth the money.

We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

By far the best campsite we have stayed at during our whole time in NZ. We had a beautiful view, the campground was modern and new, the facilities were top notch and I was especially pleased with how modern and clean the bathrooms and laundry was! I loved that there was great wifi and you didn’t have to pay for showers/have them timed. Was a very short walk to the Frankton pub for dinner too!
