My wife and I had an amazing time!

Excellent service by the staff! Sulayman, Anna and the rest of the crew. They made our stay very pleasant, ski and trip to Milford sound arrangements were very easy thanks to then.

Then breakfast buffet was great, good coffee. The rooms were excellent. Got the lake side residences view with kitchen. Beautiful view and the hotel has an easy access to get to town with the water taxi every hour.

Gym could be improved though (decent treadmill and free weights)

Aside from that everything was amazing. Will definitely go back

My second stay at Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa, and once again, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. This property is truly a perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of New Zealand’s South Island.

A special mention to the front desk agent, Ms.Johara, who was incredibly thoughtful, warm, and sweet. She went above and beyond to make my birthday stay in Queenstown extra special and absolutely perfect. Her genuine kindness and attention to detail made me feel so welcomed and appreciated.

The service throughout the property was excellent. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The team in the restaurant were wonderful as well, and a special thank you to the lovely breakfast host who was exceptionally kind and made our mornings even more enjoyable.

And the hot chocolate deserves a special mention absolutely delicious and perfect for the winter weather!

With its beautiful surroundings, relaxing atmosphere, wonderful hospitality, and genuinely caring staff, Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa is a place I would happily return to again and again. Thank you to the entire team, especially Ms. Johara, for making my birthday stay so memorable. Highly recommended!

The hotel assigned us what appeared to be the worst room in our room category. Unlike other rooms of the same type, ours did not have the large balcony that other guests received. This was never disclosed to us before check-in, and we felt misled.

The cleanliness was also unacceptable. There were hairs on the floor, and the dispenser for the bathroom toiletries was covered in dust. This is not the standard I would expect from a hotel.

Another disappointment was that the hotel did not provide bottled drinking water, only a water filter in the room.

Parking was also extremely inconvenient. The designated parking area was far from the room, and we actually had to park at the neighboring hotel’s parking lot, making it very inconvenient to carry our luggage.

I’m honestly surprised by all the positive reviews. We chose this hotel to celebrate my birthday, expecting a special and relaxing stay, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Based on our experience, I would not recommend staying here.

I had high expectations for this hotel given the Hilton brand and the price, but unfortunately the experience did not meet those expectations.

We paid close to NZ$2,500 for a six-night stay in a King Deluxe Room with Lake View, but due to major flight disruptions beyond our control (including a diversion and cancellation), we did not arrive until two days later. I called the hotel on 25 June (which was also my 30th birthday) to explain the situation. While I understand the booking terms meant we still had to pay for the missed nights, it was disappointing to lose over NZ$800 without any acknowledgment or gesture of goodwill, especially given the circumstances.

The room itself was much smaller than expected for a “deluxe” category and felt fairly average considering the price point and advertised room type.

During our stay, there were also service issues that impacted comfort. On our final night there was no hot water after a long day travelling, which meant we were unable to properly relax. By the time it was restored, it was too late and we were too exhausted to make use of it. For a hotel of this standard, this was particularly disappointing.

On a positive note, the staff were generally friendly and we appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine provided in the room.

However, overall the experience did not reflect a luxury stay or the expectations set by the room category and price. We are currently staying at La Quinta by Wyndham in Queenstown for around half the price and have had a significantly better experience in terms of space, comfort, and value.

While I understand policies are policies, I don’t feel the overall experience matched the cost or reputation of the hotel, and I would be unlikely to stay here again.

Our stay at Hilton Queenstown was truly wonderful. The hotel’s location offers spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains, creating a beautiful setting that made our visit even more memorable. The room was well-appointed, impeccably clean, and very comfortable throughout our stay.
The highlight of our experience was the exceptional level of service. Every member of the team was courteous, attentive, and eager to assist whenever needed. Their professionalism and genuine care for guests made us feel appreciated from the moment we arrived until the day we left.
We would especially like to thank Manager Mr. Hayat for his dedication and commitment to ensuring guests have the best wonderful experience. His welcoming attitude and strong leadership were evident in the consistently high standard of service delivered by the staff.
Hilton Queenstown is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a peaceful and enjoyable getaway in Queenstown. We had a fantastic experience and would happily return again in the future.
