The staff was exceptionally nice and friendly. Even though we arrived close to closing time, they still managed to squeeze us in, which we really appreciated. They also helped with recommendations, and the chicken tinga taquitos they suggested were excellent. The chicken and beef were halal, which made the experience even better for us and gave us more options to enjoy.
Food-wise, everything was delicious. The chicken tinga taquitos were full of flavor and a great start to the meal. The nachos were also good, especially with the sauces, and the drink was a great addition to the dinner. The carne asada steak fajitas were amazing and definitely one of the highlights. We also had the Margo fried rice without chorizo, and it tasted great as well.
Overall, we loved the food, the service, the ambiance, and the whole experience. Margo’s is a fantastic Mexican spot in Queenstown and absolutely worth visiting, especially if you are looking for halal chicken and beef options in a beautiful hidden-gem setting.
I would recommend the fried chicken tacos. They were full of flavour and had plenty of chicken inside. The tacos are quite small so I would recommend getting two of them. We also got the Queso and tortilla chips to start. They had the perfect amount of spice and were very delicious , I would highly recommend I could have two plates of them!
Dessert and drinks were both incredible. I loved the strawberry frozen margarita. The churros and mango sorbet were excellent to finish the night off. The churros with the rich chocolate. The sorbet was very refreshing.
I highly recommend Margo’s to anyone. It has something for everyone.
